MINI BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL
If you just can’t wait for the summer festival season, then come get your winter bluegrass fix on Saturday January 15, 2005. This will be the kick-off for a series of mini-festivals hosted by and featuring local bluegrass talent. This first event will be hosted by Hammerdown, and will feature a number of your favorite local bands. Musicians of all levels are invited to join in at pre- and post- show jams as well as a special POWER BAND SCRAMBLE, so bring that new Christmas instrument! All ages are welcome. Cover $5 at the door.

3:30- 5:00 Power Band Scramble
5:00- 5:45 Ridin’ the Fault Line
5:45- 6:30 Stormy Mountain Boys
6:30- 9:30 Open Jamming until venue closes
The POWER BAND SCRAMBLE is open to musicians of all levels, and will also include the performing musicians. Containers will be available for participants to place their names & instruments. Bands will be formed, and will perform at least 2 songs (instrumental and vocal) after a brief practice. Judging will be by audience response.
The Comedy Circuit is an all- ages venue, so please leave your alcoholic beverages at home. Food and non-alcoholic beverages are welcome, and concessions will be available.
Friday, December 3rd, join Ridin' the Fault Line and Marv Hamilton at the IAMA Benefit Concert to be held at the South Valley Unitarian Universalist Church, 6876 S Highland Drive in SLC. Admission is $5 and will benefit KRCL 90.9 FM, Public Radio.
The concert begins at 7:30 PM with Marv Hamilton performing original acoustic blues, ballads, and "redrock eco-folk".
At 8:30 PM enjoy Ridin' the Fault Line. Together 10 plus years, Ridin' the Fault Line features warm three-part harmonies with a traditional bluegrass sound.
Ridin' the Fault Line is filling in for their good friends in Tangle Ridge, who are unable to perform tonight.

Each year, the IAMA Board selects a beneficiary for its annual concert that represents the goals of IAMA. This year, KRCL 90.9 FM has been selected for its commitment to the community, its dedication to music in providing folk, blues, bluegrass, and other genres, and its support of IAMA's activities. Marv Hamilton and Ridin the Fault Line will perform at 7:30 pm on Friday, December 3rd at the South Valley Unitarian Universalist Society at 6876 South Highland Drive. Admission is $5 and will benefit KRCL.
